Raised Beds, Jersey Cattle, and Community Spirit

Here are a few snapshots of what’s been happening this month on the nature reserve and in the veggie garden.

These photos show Sheila and Justina replacing the wood on one of the raised beds—now proudly the smartest bed in the veggie garden! Sheila has taken on the care and development of the veggie garden and polytunnel, while Justina volunteers regularly, often with help from her family. She also supports with transport and works closely alongside Sheila.

Also pictured: the beautifully finished raised bed, and the arrival of more Jersey cattle to the reserve—always a welcome and grounding presence.
